No worries! We'd love to help digitize ALL the media in your collection. We include extra safety item barcodes with every Legacybox in case you have more media you'd like digitized. If you do send in more items, we'll simply invoice you for these items once we check in your order at our processing facility.
Digitizing your analog media by hand is more of an art than a science, so while we can estimate processing times, it varies depending on your order's size and the type of media you send in, in addition to current demand. At this time, Standard Processing takes around 10-12 weeks. We also offer expedited options at checkout if you need your order back faster.
Every order includes regular status updates throughout the process in addition to access to a personal concierge to answer all your questions.

Betamax (also known as Beta) was the analog home video recording format developed by Sony in the mid-1970s. Betamax videotapes are one inch thick, six inches wide and 3 ¾ inches tall. “Beta” describes the way signals were recorded to tape, and how it looked like the Greek letter beta (β) when it wound through the transport. They added “max” on the back end to suggest greatness. Then JVC created the smaller and longer VHS tapes to compete directly with Betamax. It was a brief dogfight, but VHS won the format war hands-down.
That magnetic tape in both formats began to spoil and deteriorate 15 years after it was made. If you have Betamax tapes that haven’t yet been converted to a digital file format, you could end up losing your favorite shows, all those classic music videos, not to mention some of the first home movies ever in the history of your family tree. Those videocassettes may sit around looking the same forever, but the information on them won’t.
